I really like the clothing, but if this is Mara she should be more pale

and it's very nice, but I have Japanese Chinese Korean in my head, and the royalty there brushes there face to be pale (then you can see it aren't workers, cause they have that colour because they work in the sun (this way the royalty let show that they are "better"))
It's very nice tough, I really love those clothes!!:D

If you're going to do absolutely amazing Riftwar art, you could at least put some more informative tags. I don't know how often I've gone on Riftwar-art searching sprees, and this little gem has eluded me the whole time.

The lighting and colouring is brilliant. I especially love the exquisite detail in the outfit. The multitude of colours looks interesting without seeming garish.

Good on you for getting to do a book cover. :) I wish we could have someone like you do the covers for the more recent books...

Mara!!!!!!!
Good Luck though. Last I heard Janny Wurts is a pretty good artist herself.
Gods, I loved that series.

well i agree with omegi in most things.

i don't seem to have a problem with the neck tho :p
i do on the other hand noticed her left arm being quite short:O

but none of it matter because i gor destracted by the awesome detail and epic coloring >_>
also, i have no clue how people make stuff seethrough... when i try it it always turns out wrong.

You got to draw the cover of a Feist book? Awesome.
I haven't read it, but it looks really nice. I like her outfit a lot, and all the little details it has and that the sleeve is see-through. I never figured out how to do much of anything in traditional media :D
The temple in the background is also quite nice.
Her neck does look a little long, but that might just be me.

Thanks.
You like Feist's books too? :)
To tell the truth, i was beginner in painting, when i made few covers for Feist translations. Some of them went well, but i failed sometimes... T_T
(I have more routine now :D )

I do like Feist, but he's written so many books that I haven't read all of them yet :D

It makes sense to fail sometimes when you're a beginner, that's what makes you good later on. :meditate:
